Eyeglass stores are for suckers. This guy buys a pair of prescription glasses online for $81, and says they fit perfectly. Be sure to read the response and reply from an optometrist, which is a hoot. I'm considering this seriously—my last glasses cost about $350 total.
This will make you lose your frickin' mind. A loop of endless Caruso one-liners. You'll learn to realize Roger Daltrey is screaming in pain, not excitement.
This is a linkdump of info about Nikon Lens Compatibility, Nikon D70 specs (Particularly lens information), a better compatibility chart and accompanying review, another review of the D70s.

I found a website that graphs the voltage in legacy flash units and makes recommendations for usage in newer DSLRs. (Older flash units use higher voltages in the trigger circuit.) Here's a handy guide for setting up Parallels on OS X from Lifehacker.
Our friend Dave hipped me to this technique: HDR photography, which is the process of taking multiple bracketed photos of the same subject and combining the data from all to produce a highly detailed, contrasted image.
This week we met with a client who has a 17" G4 Powerbook, and I fell in love with it. Hrmm. A BTO 17" MacBook Pro with a 100GB 7200-RPM drive (minus $99 from the stock price, but a faster drive) with the educational discount is $2509, vs. $2699 at the regular price. That's a lot of clams. (a 2.3Ghz 15" with the standard 120GB drive is $2499. Would I pay $10 for more screen size? Hell yeah.)
This is some cool McGuvyer shit. Build a solar powered iPod charger from simple parts in about 15 minutes. I'd try this in a second.
Computerworld has a great article about the state of elections countrywide. Here's the entry for Maryland.
